Handfasting: Draigan and Relm
In a groundbreaking and historic wedding that took place on 13 September 2003 at D'aria, Durbanville Hills, Draigan and Relm were handfasted in both a civil and a spiritual ceremony. The Rev. Pete Taljaard presided in his Christian (and therefore civil ) capacity with Darkwolf in her spiritual capacity. It was an occasion filled with sadness and triumph. Certain Christians would not attend this wedding, and many present felt the need to defend their God by protesting that the blood of Christ is upon the place and that the couple had been bewitched. Since Darkwolf and Pete shared the ceremony, they had agreed on a structure and Pete opened with a reading from Col 13 "let their be love; and patience, and tolerance and gentleness and compassion", words that were not heeded nor understood by many in the audience.
Despite the protests, the ceremony was as beautiful as ever, and the fairy tale romance between Relm and Draigan cemented.

Joburg Sunset
No matter the beauty of Cape Town, nothing can compare to the Johannesburg sky as its shadow self prepares to do battle with its exterior calmness. These pictures, taken minutes before the thunder gods wielded their axes, show the maginificent juxtaposition of light and dark, peaceful pink sunset with menacing dark clouds, simultaneously enacting their own individual drama on the stages of our eyesight.
